He developed a technique of collecting the dew drops from the plants and preserving the dew with an equal amount of brandy to produce a mother tincture. This led him to create a larger amount through suspending flowers in spring water and allowing the sun's rays to infuse the energy of the plants into the water. He would spend each spring and summer discovering and preparing new remedies and in winter he would treat patients free of charge. His selections were intuitively derived and based on his connection with nature.

The remedies are made from just the plant energy, and contain no physical matter from the plant. Bach's remedies focus on treatment of the person's personality and emotional state, which he believed to be the ultimate root cause of disease. He felt in choosing the right remedy, you will restore the virtue on a soul level.

The Twin Soul Healing Deck is inspired by the 38 plant remedies/flower essences that Dr. Bach focused his life-work around. The cards, descriptions and action steps hold the key-codes to healing 38 main trauma patterns held within the human body and mind.

He is best known for developing the Bach flower remedies, a form of alternative medicine inspired by classical homeopathic traditions. He began his career at the start of World War One, treating the effects of post-traumatic stress. This was also the time of the great influenza epidemic of 1918. Millions died in trenches and hospital beds. Dr Bach felt dissatisfied with the way doctors were expected to concentrate on diseases and ignore the whole person. He believed that emotional imbalances create energetic blockages that lead to physical diseases. He left his successful medical practice in London in 1928 to immerse himself in the countryside of Wales to explore more holistic and natural ways of healing.

Edward Bach was a British medical doctor, bacteriologist, homeopath and an author.

"They cure, not by attacking the disease, but by flooding our bodies with the beautiful vibrations of our Higher Nature, in the presence of which disease melts as snow in the sunshine." -Edward Bach
